Garden tips are not hard to find. Whether you are looking for tips on vegetable gardening, flower planting, proper watering and fertilizing tips, or something else, tips on gardening are available in countless books, magazines, websites, blogs, and people. Make sure to double check tips found on blogs, as they may simply be opinions.
Here are a few garden tips we have double checked to get your garden started in early spring. Once the snow has melted off your flowerbeds and plants, clean them us by clearing the dead branches, leaves, dead weeds, etc. Browse lots of seed catalogs to get the perfect plants and order early; early spring is the best time. Get your tools cleaned and sharpened, dispose of old chemicals and sort out all your pots, planters and containers.
Make a plan for your garden; some type of layout will help you avoid mistakes and “redos”. Next test your soil so you know what nutrients need to be added – testing kits are available at garden and home center stores. The last preparing your garden tip – keep a gardener’s journal, so you look at past years and see what worked and what didn’t.
